Barista Fundamentals & Coffee 101

Master the foundation of specialty coffee and barista skills.

This three-hour course will introduce you to the fundamental knowledge and essential skills required to become a professional-level barista. From coffee as a plant in the ground to a drink in a cup, you will understand how and why this bean is so important, versatile, and delicious. We will introduce you to the espresso machine and the various methods for drip coffee and get you ready for our intermediate class, or to study on your own. 

Once booked, you will receive an email from NJEA Coffee Educator Connor Murphy, who will learn about your coffee journey to give your class an individualized element. 

All classes take place at the Booskerdoo Coffee inside Bell Works at 101 Crawfords Corner Rd., Holmdel, NJ 07733

This is the first course of three to achieve NJEA Barista Certification. Once completed, each class comes with a certificate to provide to any cafe hiring manager.
